This is a smokin` hot heavy metal band from the environment of classic Newcastle Upon Thyne based NWoBHM legend BLITZKRIEG, even with a few bandmembers of the `KRIEG shredding and bumping their instruments here. And what else but hot blooded English metal would you expect from this act? And you hit the point, it is what you think it should be. Similar to what their motherband BLITZKRIEG, HOLY RAGE with JUDAS PRIEST founding member Al Atkins on vocals or his ATKINS / MAY PROJECT or of course JUDAS PRIEST themselves do, straight, catchy and powerful heavy metal songs with those melodies that shine eternally. I speak about chord progressions and note structures that might feel familiar to you as the listener due to their more than traditional approach. In fact CHAOS ASYLUM, despite sounding fresh and hungry like a newcoming act, leave out every element that has taken an influence on heavy metal music after 1990. And this is a formula that really works out for their music sounds honest and down to earth, just with a somehow anthemic feel. Do not confuse anthemic with heroic, this is far from the cheesy dragon hunter metal with lyrics about warriors dressed in fur and their long swords. Go for PRIEST or SAXON, go for BLITZKRIEG, for NWOBHM sounds in general and you will be enchanted right away. One of the hottest pieces of real heavy metal in 2012.
