Awesome! This is a pure metal freakout which should not be missed by every fan of cult 7"s. Forever Winter and Ritual Steel, Odin bless them both, share a single and kick aerse with their peculiar brand of traditional metal. The finnish barbarians rock like hell, combining a raw but old style black metal feel, maybe a bit like very early Venom, with more moderate but still obscure heavy metal elements and get something out of it which smokes completely. This is the real deal, no triggers, no digital shite, no overpolished sound, just raw and mean heavy metal. Ritual Steel are caught live here in their days before the current line up with original bassplayer Zülle and one of his compositions that never saw the light of day as a proper studio recording. A shame, I might add. This is US style speedmetal in the best 80s vein, violent and infernal but still filled to the max with razorsharp melodies, just like Agent Steel or Hallow's Eve would have played it, maybe a bit more primitive than both legends but who the hell cares? It has the right metal spirit, just an adventurous sound, for it has not even been a professional live recording, just a the sound track from an amateur video. It still kicks ass though, you can recognize the band, the riffs, the melodies and Sir Lord Doom's high pitched screams and demonic yells. Mainstream shitheads stay away from this sacred gem, this is for the decayed only! Pure fucking metal armageddon.
