Yeah, we are all forced to fight for the real metal in a world full of trend zombies. The zombie soldier you see on the cover picture on the other hand is one of the good guys, mowing down the soldiers of mainstream with his vindicator gun while storming Omaha Beach. Awesome! Just as awesome as the playfully arranged music which is not just straight speed bashing but thoughtfully composed heavier than hell stuff with catchy tunes, quite a few passage changes without getting any complicated, great lead axe eruptions, hammering riffs and whipping rhythms, all flowing together in a giant cauldron, building a real song, memorable, filled with emotions. This is how thrashmetal has to be. HATCHERY could be compared to good ol’ TESTAMENT with their first two records, EXODUS from their second to fourth album, also to SEPULTURA after dropping the blackmetal elements up to shortly before disbanding and selling their name to a stupid dirty trend core band and even to SACRIFICE from Canada with their latest masterpiece “The ones I condemn”. It is thrash that we are talking here, nothing more or less. Good music to slay disco dancers, fake metal posers, rap gangstas and people with suits and ties, who are responsible for all this. This is slicing thrash metal which can compete with tons of old classics and of course the best classic thrash releases these days. This is of blood spilling beauty!
